Calendar Class

For the past few months on the last Saturday of each month, I have taught a calendar class. Each month we do a new page from the calendar. At the end of the year we will have our own personalised 2011 calendar ready to go.

I have really enjoyed teaching lots of different pages and just love seeing how the lovely ladies in my class adapt the page to their own styles. I think that is the best part.

Here are a few of the pages that we have done so far.

January
This page was an Australia Day theme. We used the Cricut to cut the letters. I wanted to put some Australia Flags on the page but could not find any that I liked. So I downloaded an image of one from the internet and printed it as a photo. Worked a treat. I just love this photo of Will. The face was so funny. He really did not like sitting on the grass.

February
This was a Valentine theme. The papers were Fancy Pants Vintage Valentine.

I also used my favourite Tim Holtz stamp from the Rock Star set. I have used it on so many different layouts. It is great for boys and looks great on this page.

March

This was a fun page. I wanted to use stamp, punches, Nestablilities and Glimmer Mist.

We Glimmer Misted tha page and then cut a base for the flower pot, stamped the stems using a Kaiser flourish stamp, and then used Nestabilities to cut the flower heads from photos of the boys.
April

April was our Easter theme. This was a fun class. We used the cricut to cut all the eggs. This was done with the auto fill function. This left a cool template that we used as a screen to Glimmer Mist the second page.

We also used the cricut for the Easter Basket and bunnies. It was great fun decorating Easter Eggs.

May

This was Will's birthday theme page. He was wearing his PJ's when he opened his presents so I used bright coloured papers.

I also created cute little pockets to put in a special birthday message.

June

This was Joe's birthday page. We went to Tree Tops Adventure Park for his birthday. I just love this page.
I used string to create the rope bridge. I attached the photos with the string through brass eyelets.

The trees were stamped using the Darkroom Door 'Trees" stamps. These are fantastic stamps.

This tree is a Twiddley Bitz tree. I painted it with Viva Precious Metal Bronze.

June was created by punching out cardstock and inking the edges and then mounting them with foam mounting tape.

I will post more soon.

Thanks for stopping by.

xoxo
