Colour! Or is it Color?

One of our teachers at Pages 2 Scrap sent me a link to a fantastic class being taught by Nic Howard.

These are my tags that I have prepared for the pre-class project. Playing with colour is so much fun. There are so many simple techniques on these tags. Creating my own leaves was great fun and something that I know I will use on more projects.

This is my favourite tag. I just love the music paper (scored from the Salvos) and the key just pulls it all together.

The beginning of something good!!

Okay well the time has come for me to go back on a health kick. I did so well last year when I did Weight Watchers, but like most of us I fell off the wagon and went back to all my bad habits.

I saw these photos yesterday and did not like what I saw. So I am ready to get back to losing some weight again.

I am very lucky that I have a great friend Bec that is going to be doing this with me. I find that if I have someone to push me along and be reportable to then I do so much better. Bec and I have already been support texting this morning. I will be posting my progress on a regular basis.

I have friends coming over for afternoon tea and dinner today. I have been out shopping for healthier options. We will be having fresh fruit with Nestle Dark Chocolate Dessert for dipping. This dessert was fantastic when I was doing Weight Watchers. For dinner a simple BBQ with salad.

We will also use a few different Glimmer Mist techniques. I have used the Tim Holtz masks on this page.

Once the class is done I will post the full picture.

Fishy Fun

Well on Sunday we took the boys to the Sydney Aquarium. They were all pretty excited about seeing all the Fishies.

Joe was all smiles, as long as there were no birds around. He could not wait to see the Sharks.

Charlie was showing us his cheesy face. He loved standing by the tank and walking up and down with the fish.

And as long as the fish were behind the glass Will was happy. They had a life size Great White Shark on display. If you walked up to it, it opened it's mouth and showed you it's teeth. I have never had Will grab me so tightly!!

After we spent some time walking around Darling Harbour. We found a good place for lunch and Charlie was very pleased with himself that he got his very own bowl of ice cream. He thought he was such a big boy.

Friday Night Craft

Friday night I got to sit down and scrap. I have taken over the dining room as my scrap area. I spent the night playing with different techniques and tags. I have a thing for tags at the moment.

These are some of the tags. I thought that I would do a few Christmas ones and then I also played with Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Glaze.

We have also just got the Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powders in at Pages 2 Scrap. The top tag was done with this, the middle tag was using a Tim Holtz Post Card stamp and normal clear embossing powder and the bottom tag was a Unity Stamp Co stamp by Donna Downey, then covered with Glam & Glaze.

Here are a few other close up of the tags

On a Roll

I am finally catching up on the pages for my calendar class. This is a sneak peak of the pages for September.

I have used Twiddley Bitz picket fence and Green Tara flowers. I just love the photo on this layout. I have done a very simple layout but I just love how it has turned out.

I have used the Daisy Border punch from the Martha Stewart range. Guessing by now you have worked out that I just love the Marth Stewart punches The quote is a stamp from the Unity Stamp Company Donna Downey collection. I just love it and it was just perfect for the photo.
