Art Journal Sample for Pages 2 Scrap
I decided that I needed to prepare a sample Art Journal for display at Pages 2 Scrap. I have got a little A5 journal. This is the first page. I have used my Dylusions stamps, inks and screens. I love love love them all.
I just love being able to layer the stamps and yet it still looks good. I love just how easily they work together.
I just love this caterpillar stamp. Just saying..
More pages soon.
Thanks for stopping by..

Pink Umbrella...
Here is another double page in my art journal. I love paying with the vibrant colours. Adding layer after layer you never quite know what you are going to end up with.
I love how the pink of the border at the bottom really stands out. I also added a little caterpillar and he decided that he needed to wear a hat.
I decided to stamp an umbrella on plain what reflex paper and then colour it and cut it out. I have only put a little double sided tape in the centre of the umbrella to allow it to stick up a bit and show a bit of dimension.
On the second page I have again used the same order stamp and inked it in Bubblegum Pink Dylusions. I accidentally stamped my words upside down so worked with that and created a mirror image effect. That is one of the best things about art journalling is no one knows how it was supposed to look.
I have also stamped a toadstool and used a white sharpie to outline the edges.
Here is a close up of the words and again my pink caterpillar is wearing a hat. Just because he can.

Stamping with Direction...
I thought that I would pop in a quick post about stamping. Now I am no expert but I just love that with some stamps you can change the feel of the stamp by the direction that you stamp it. These are two different pages from my art journal where I have used the same stamp but the feeling of the page is very different.
This page gives a feeling of serenity and peace. The image was stamped with the face pointing up.
With this image I stamped the face pointing downward. This gives a feeling of blue an sadness.
I love how the two images look just so different.

Light and Dark...
I love working in my art journal. I think I have three of them now. I can be feeling sad and work in my journal and feel much better. I did this page the other night after a few days of not feeling my happy place.
I thought that I would show you the different stages in the page. I started with a blank page and then added some dark and light colour. I also did a shadow effect on the page (one of my favourite techniques). I just love how Dylusions Ink Sprays work. The way that they hold their colour is just amazing.
Next I stamped some background stamps and then used a Dylusions background stamp, Background Love to do the flower pattern on the edges. I then used the Ranger water brush and the Dylusions ink to colour all the flowers.
I then added a little frog stamp and then the lady face from the Bits of This. I also did some journalling.
I really love this face stamp.

Donna Downey Vist...
I am so lucky to own Pages 2 Scrap. For the second year we had the lovely Donna Downey come and teach at the store. I don't usually do any of the classes myself but this year I decided to do a few. I have to say that my favourite class was PanPastels.
We created this stunning canvas. There is so much that you can do with PanPastels. I love how they are so easy to blend with.
Here is a close up of the heart. I just love the dimension.

Loving product...
This photo is my happy place.
I love sitting down at the table in my craft room.
This is the view that I have most days.
These have to be my favourite products right now.
I love my Dylusions Ink Sprays and you just have to have Archival Ink,
Gesso, white Sharpie and water spray bottles and water pens.
Thanks for stopping by.

All about Green.
I so love just sitting down and staring to play in my art journal. I never know exactly what I am going to end up with. I love that you can put so much emotion into a page and not even really know it. This page makes me feel like I am drifting away.
I have used Dylusions Inks, Stamps & Screens. I have also used a White Sharpie on the eyelashes and head piece.
I just love this toadstool stamp and I used Gesso over the top to add a little bit of dimension.
Here is another page.
I love this ghosting technique. I find that I am using it over and over.
